Friday the 13th Fun!

This Friday is one of the two Friday the 13ths in 2017 and is also conveniently
located in the spooky month of October!
This Poster Activity is a fun - not frightening - activity for students to work on this Friday the 13th!
There are two posters which include, of course, 13 fun prompts for students to think about.
This poster activity is great to use as a DO Now/Bell Ringer activity or it could be used as a
creative center activity for Friday the 13th.
Students answer the 13 prompts and then can share their thoughts as a class, with a partner,
or in small groups.
A variety of ELA, math, and art activities are included.
It's only a dollar right now!

Have a wonderful Friday!

Back to School Ideas and a Giveaway!

It's that time of year again.  The back-to-school season is upon us!  Teachers are thinking about classroom set up, d├ęcor, bulletin boards, routines, and what to do on the first day of school.  These products will get you in the grove for the new school year.   Start the year off in a fun way with your new students and new ideas.  The S'Mores Gift Tags are perfect for Meet the Teacher events.  All About Me Posters look great on a bulletin board for Open House.  The Back To School Icebreakers provide a fun way for students to learn a bit about one another!  My class always shares a book they read over the summer and the Chipper Chatter Cookies are a great way to get that conversation off to a fun start.

If you need to do a little shopping for the new school year, here is your chance to win an awesome prize.  I have joined a fabulous group of teacher-authors and we are giving away this fabulous prize.  Enter the rafflecopter below for a chance to win!  Simply click on the star in my TpT store to follow and gain an entry.

It's National S'MORES Day!

August 10 is National S'Mores Day!  This delicious campfire treat is made from three simple ingredients-graham crackers, toasted marshmallows, and melted chocolate bars.  The first recorded version of the recipe can be found in the 1927 version of the Girl Scout Handbook.  The recipe was passed from camper to camper and eventually became a very popular fireside dessert. The early recipes called the treats Some Mores, but at some point the name was shortened to S'Mores.  To celebrate today, I have discounted two S'Mores resources in my TpT Store.  Why not bring in a bit of education to this fun celebration?  It's a perfect time of year to gather up your friends and family, make a campfire, and enjoy this sweet treat!  No campfire?  You can toast your marshmallows in a toaster oven or even a microwave!  Get creative while you are at it... you can add peanut butter to the graham crackers or use a peanut butter cup rather than the chocolate bar.  Fudge dipped or striped cookies work well too if you don't have graham crackers!
Any way you design it, your S'More will be something you'll love!
These Back To School All About Me Posters even have a S'mores page!
Happy National S'mores Day!
